Dr. Joseph DiGiorgio

A certified Optometrist credentialed in therapeutic eye disease treatment.  Dr. DiGiorgio has been a member of the Orland community for over 30 years and resides in Orland with his family.  He has served as president of the Chicago South Suburban Optometry Society and as a director for the Executive Council of the Illinois Optometric Association in Springfield.  He has also served as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.  He has also served  as a preceptor for advanced 4th yr interns from the Eye Institute of the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. DiGiorgio is a charter member of the Contact Lens section of the American Optometric Association and has been certified in contact lens care by the National Eye Research Foundation.  He is highly experienced in prescribing medically necessary contact lenses, like prosthetic scleral contact lenses, for conditions including Keratoconus and Pellucid Marginal Degeneration.  Dr. DiGiorgio is a member of the Scleral Lens Education Society, and has worked extensively with scleral lens manufacturers and has traveled to many locations in North America and Europe to master the art of fitting these highly specialized lenses.  He has also enjoyed serving his community as a director of the Orland Park Chamber of Commerce and as past secretary for the Orland Park Kiwanis Club.  Dr. DiGiorgio is an accomplished skier and enjoys skiing with his family.
